Now THAT's a How You Use A Jumper Cable!

Now that's how you use a jumper cable!  We remember seeing this commercial a years back and were hoping this was a Cobra Energy Drink Commercial so we can give Cobra  and Philippine Airlines props for supporting the Philippines Dragon Boat Team EVEN BEFORE they won 5 Gold Medals in the 10th IDBF World Dragon Boat Racing Championships in Tampa Bay, Florida.  They believed in the Filipino Athletes despite the government's failure to do so.

Support
It was interesting to see how politics has entered and interferes with athletics competition.  When because of the corruption in national federations and the international ranks as well, the best are not normally representing their nations.  But this time the 2-time defending champion team defended their title and brought home 5 gold medals and 2 Silver medals bringing honor to their country despite the fact that their government weren't their to support them (until they won of course!).

Of course now that they've won, everybody's jumping on the bandwagon!

Sadly, skill and talent are not enough for marketing people and politicians.  Support always comes too late from politician's; their are only a few who would support up and coming champions but they will always jump on the bandwagon as soon as athletes become champions.

Unfortunately for Filipino athletes if you are not in a basketball team (which is not really a good sport for Filipino's to excel because of the disadvantage in height) or a boxer (thanks to the Honorable Congressman from Saranggani and proven champion Manny Pacquiao) chances are, you will receive no support from the government or the big businesses, even if you are the most talented player in your sport.

Unless of course you have athletes named Phil and James Younghusband or some other showbiz worthy celebrity persona in your team.  It is time for change the Philippines should concentrate on their strengths (boxing, football and dragon boat among others) and forget about the fantasy of beating Western teams (USA, Spain and Germany among them) in basketball!

We doubt this would be heard by our leaders, but its worth a shot right?  So lets get back to the funny stuff! While looking for the Sting commercial, we found out that their are other versions as well.

We like the first one better, the "mechanic" chosen made it more funny and interesting.  What do you think?
